Black Scallop is an improved variety of Ajuga with very large, rounded and scallop-edged leaves of glossy deep beetroot purple. Heads of deep blue flowers compliment the foliage. This plant is ideal for front of border, rock garden or container gardening.

Ajuga Black Scallop offers a considerable advance over other existing varieties. It does not suffer from mildew, and performs very well even in very hot weather.

Ajuga Black Scallop makes an excellent 11cm or one litre specimen for impulse sales, either as a spring flowering plant or for year-round foliage colour. Alternatively, it can be sold in a 9cm container or even in trays for use as a rock garden plant, patio plant or mass ground cover.
