A breakthrough in the development of double forms of the Meadow Cranesbill, Laura (named for the breeder’s mother) is the first double form with plentiful large clean white flowers, healthy foliage and sturdy growth.
More vigorous than the existing double white Cranesbill (G. pratense Albiplenum) and with more purely coloured flowers, this will be a great addition to herbaceous borders throughout the temperate world.
Other double forms of Geranium pratense are already popular in European and American markets and sales of Laura following its launch in 2006 have been very encouraging. It was among the top performers in a recent trial of Geranium at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Garden at Wisley.
Due to its size, this plant should be finished in at least 2.0 litre containers or sold as young plants or bare-root specimens.

Note: the inclusion of any plant in PFE’s portfolio listing is not an offer for sale of that plant, and is merely intended to create interest in licences for propagation.
