We are absolutely delighted to announced our first open house event to showcase the launch of our exciting new Rococo Ranunculus product line.
The Open House will be held on Tuesday 2nd May from 1pm to 7pm. We are very grateful to the National Cut Flower Centre in Holbeach St Johns, near Spalding, for hosting this event.
The Rococo Ranunculus are an exciting new line of hardy Ranunculus that are suitable for cut flower production, container production for garden centre sales and for mail order sales.
The Open House will feature the first four varieties in the programme – peach, pink, orange-red and acid yellow. Many more colours are in development.
The Rococo Ranunculus offer stem length of 60cm to 70cm. Each stem carries several flowers with a diameter of 6cm to 7cm. Vase life for cut flowers is 10 to 14 days.
The Open House will offer the opportunity to meet with the breeder, John Fielding, who has spent many years working with Ranunculus to develop this excellent new product line that can be grown in normal British garden conditions. Visitors will have the opportunity to talk with John about future developments in the programme as well as the first four varieties on display.
Graham will also be on hand to discuss licensing, promotion and young plant supplies.
We are very pleased to be launching the Rococo Ranunculus after many years of development. They have been extensively trialled, both in the UK and in other countries, under a range of conditions, so we have a good understanding of their robust nature and the best way to produce a successful crop. We have also established the first four varieties in tissue culture and have a young plant supply chain in place and ready to go. There is significant interest in this programme and we will be selecting high quality growers and retailers to join with us in making this project a success.
